Bob Marley Cover Art Competition

Celebrating the release of a documentary film on the life of Bob Marley (released 6th Feb).

The, as yet, untitled film is released 5 days after Issue 1 of Amartist goes online, so what better inspiration for a comp. Being directed by Martin Scorsese, responsible for Gangs of New York, The Departed and Goodfellas, it will surely do justice to the inspirational life of Bob Marley. The film will document his political public speaking in Jamaica, respected position as a prophet of the Rastafari movement and, of course, his pioneering contribution to reggae.

Competition details:

We’re looking for eye-catching, Bob Marley-inspired artwork for use on the cover of Issue 1. Think reggae, think Rasta colours, think Jamaica.

Anyone can enter, although we’d like to have work by an amateur on the cover.

Submissions of A4 size (or approximate) in GIF, JPEG, PNG, PDF or BMP format only please (alternatively, send us a link to a suitable work) along with the name you want to be used for credit… to: stuart_fawke@tiscali.co.uk

Closing date for submissions is Friday 29th January

1st place gets the cover, 2nd and 3rd place will be published somewhere in the magazine too.

Here’s an example to get you thinking. Good luck.
